Eddie Perreira, also at the Salvation Army Community Thanksgiving Lunch, will celebrate his big 99th birthday on Monday, Violet “Aunty Aloha” Perreira saying she’ll keep him until 100, if he’s good.
Kudos to Major Mario Reyes, Cadet Kelly Berggres and all of the Salvation Army Lunch Committee on a great job. It was so good, Sara Miura, Randall Francisco and Sonia Topenio had to hustle extra tables in the lobby where Roland Anderson of Flagstaff, Ariz. was eyeing the “Scrooge” display.
Anderson, Zandra Cousins’ (she said she’s everybody’s cousins) fiancé, said they’ll probably take in the HCT performance Friday since they leave for Maui Saturday.
Mahalo to Betty and Jim Martin of Tigard, Ore. for volunteering and Dimples Kano (she’s been volunteering for 39 years!) had Wayne Miyata (Kenji was helping with the Interact Club) escorting the Japanese dignitaries so she could be at the luncheon.
