Kaumuali‘i Highway
Lihu‘e (Continuous)
24-hour-a-day closures related to the Kaumuali‘i Highway Widening Project at the following location:
Beginning at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday night, traffic in both directions will be rerouted onto the newly installed concrete pavement at the Nawiliwili Road intersection near the Kukui Grove Shopping Center.
The modified traffic pattern will remain in effect for approximately three months to aid in roadway construction on the north side of the Nawiliwili Road intersection.
Lihu‘e (Night work)
Beginning at 10 p.m. on Monday night, the northbound lane of Puhi Road, approaching Kaua‘i Community College, will be closed continuously between the Puhi Park Entrance and Kaumuali‘i Highway for road construction for approximately four weeks.
Single lane closures between Nuhou Street and Kipu Road on Monday night through Friday morning for pavement resurfacing.
Kekaha
Possible lane closures between Akialoa Road and Macarthur Park on Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily. Crews will be widening the pavement near the Kekaha Beach Park to repair shoreline erosion damage. Roadwork is anticipated to be complete in January 2013.
Kuhio Highway
Hanalei (Continuous)
Single-lane closure in the westbound direction between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, near the Hanalei Stream Bridge, for emergency repairs to slope erosion and pavement damage caused by prolonged heavy rainfall. Traffic will be contraflowed using the remaining open lane.
Hanama‘ulu
Single lane closure of the right turn lane from Kapule Highway onto Kuhio Highway, and in the southbound direction at the intersection of Kapule Highway and Kuhio Highway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for roadside improvements and traffic signal work.
Anahola
Lane shifts in both directions between Kalalea Road and Makanani Street Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadside repairs.
Waipouli
Single-lane closure in the southbound direction between Wana Road and the Papaloa Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for waterline replacement work.
Kilauea (Continuous)
Single lane closures in the eastbound direction between Kahiliholo Road and Kalihiwai Road, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, through early, for slope erosion repair. Traffic will be contraflowed using the remaining open lane. Motorists are advised to use caution while driving.
Kuamo‘o Road
Wailua (Night work)
Single-lane closure in the eastbound direction between Kuhio Highway and the Holoholoku Heiau parking lot exit from 9 p.m. Monday night through 5 a.m. Friday for waterline replacement.
