HONOLULU — Starwood Hotels and Resorts has named two new team members for the Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort and The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas. Brent Lausterer has joined the Kaua‘i team as director of sales and marketing and June Cappiello has joined as public relations manager.
“We are pleased to welcome Brent and June to our team at the newly revitalized Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort and The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas,” said Angela Vento, regional director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Hawai‘i. “Both Brent and June bring years of experience and leadership in the hospitality industry.”
As director of sales and marketing, Lausterer oversees all leisure and group sales, public relations and marketing initiatives for the two resorts. Hailing from Paia, Maui, Lausterer, who is fluent in Japanese, has served in Hawai‘i’s hospitality industry for more than 15 years.
As public relations manager, Cappiello provides media communications for two of Starwood’s three Kaua‘i properties. She also manages the websites, social media and reputation management initiatives for the two resorts. Cappiello, a graduate of the University of Florida’s journalism program, is fluent in Japanese.
