MILOLI‘I — Rescuers airlifted two stranded kayakers from Miloli‘i Beach Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Kaua‘i County press release, dispatch was notified of the incident at 4:50 p.m. when a third party reported a male and female kayaker had difficulty paddling out from Miloli‘i Beach.

The call said the Louisiana couple was requesting assistance.

Rescue 3 personnel aboard Air 1 flew into the area at 5:20 p.m. and transported the stranded kayakers to Waimea Canyon Park. The couple did not require medical assistance.
