Kaua‘i High School to register new students July 10

Registration for new students enrolling at Kaua‘i High School for the 2012-13 school year is scheduled for July 10.

Grade 8 students currently enrolled at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School have already been registered, so this notice does not apply to those students.

Registration will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the registrar’s office, located behind the Administration Building.

Students must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.  The following documents must be provided:

1. Student Health Record, physical exam, immunizations, tuberculosis clearance

2. Birth certificate/passport or student visa (if com-ing from another state/country.)

3. Proof of current address (example:  rental/lease agreement, mortgage document, current utility bill, etc.)

4. Legal documents (example:  Power of attorney if student is not living with parents, etc.)

5. Documents from previous school (example:  release packet from previous school which includes an unofficial transcript or latest report card; Special Education Individual Plan; etc.)

A Freshmen Orientation Day is being planned for July 30.

All grade 9 students are to report to the gym at 8:30 a.m.

Freshmen parents are also welcome to participate on that day.

All students, grades 9-12, will begin classes on July 31.
