Work set for Tuesday at Kapa‘a transfer station

KAPA‘A — Due to maintenance work, the Kapa‘a transfer station will not be accepting loose mixed waste on Tuesday from 7:15 to 9:15 a.m.

Residents wishing to dispose of loose mixed waste while the maintenance work is being done can take their items to the Hanalei or Lihu’e transfer stations.

The facility will still be accepting bagged trash, along with: green waste; scrap metals; appliances; propane tanks; used tires; and residential used motor oil and motor oil filters for recycling. For more information, call the Solid Waste Division at 241-4841.
