Autopsy today for body found at Lydgate

LIHU‘E — County officials said that until today’s planned autopsy, they do not anticipate additional information on the man found dead Sunday at Lydgate Beach Park.

County officials have not released the name of the 31-year-old man found dead, pending notification of family.

“However, to clarify, this does not appear to be a drowning,” county spokeswoman Sarah Blane said Monday.

The man’s body was recovered near Kamalani Bridge 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Kaua‘i Police Department said Sunday they do not suspect foul play.
