Police identify body found near Queen’s Bath

PRINCEVILLE  – Kauai police have identified a man found dead near Queen’s Bath in Princeville on Sunday as 23-year-old Blake Snyder of Kilauea, according to a county news release.

Snyder’s body was located by a beachgoer at around noon Sunday.

An autopsy conducted on Tuesday helped police to identify his body. A preliminary autopsy report also revealed that the man died from multiple injuries consistent with a fall, including blunt head trauma.

According to the police investigation, the man appears to have fallen from the cliff located above Queen’s Bath into the waters below, eventually washing up onto the shoreline.

Authorities believe he had been dead for at least a day at the time he was found.

There is no evidence to suggest foul play at this time.

This investigation is ongoing.
