Non-swimmers and beginners ages 5 and above can still register for the Mokihana Aquatics Learn to Swim classes, said Mokihana Coach Orlando “O” Anaya.
The Learn to Swim program is for non-swimmers and beginners unless a child has taken a previous baby class with Mokihana Aquatics.
The third session of the Learn to Swim program starts April 30 and continues through every week day until May 18 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. each day. All classes meet at the Kaua‘i High School pool except for Wednesday classes. Wednesday classes, which deal with ocean safety, meet at Kalapaki Beach from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Swimmers are expected to wear swimming caps during classes, and girls are asked to wear one-piece swim suits. There will be no rash guard shirts or jewelry allowed.
In celebration of Mokihana Aquatics’ 30th anniversary, registration of $130 for each swimmer reflects a $20 discount from the normal $150 cost.
To register, or for more information, call Anaya at 821-0587.
