Danny Alayvilla
Danny Valmoja Alayvilla of Lihu‘e died at Straub Clinic and Hospital on April 6, 2012, at the age of 49. He was born on Feb. 3, 1963, retired from the County of Kaua‘i and was the entrepreneur of Danny’s Concrete Pumping & Bobcat Service.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Alayvilla; son, Micah Alayvilla; parents, Ernesto and Veronica Alayvilla; three sisters, Regina (Cris) Alayvilla-Schenck, Fely (Roger) Akama, Mila (Kyle Cremer) Alayvilla; two brothers, Alfonso (Belinda) Alayvilla and Eddie Alayvilla; one granddaughter, Autumn Alayvilla; friend, Susan Kashiwabara and children, Tyler and Sarah; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 28, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Pedro Rivera
Pedro Ramoran Rivera of Lihu‘e, died April 2, 2012, at Garden Isle Health Care at the age of 91. He was born on July 24, 1920, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He retired from the Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Luisa Rivera; brothers, Leon Cadavona, Eulalio Rivera, Sabino Rivera; and sisters, Agapita Cadavona, Telesfora Rivera and Veneranda Rivera.
He is survived by his wife, Salud Galapon Rivera; daughter Erlinda R. (Alberto) Salvador of Hanama‘ulu; son Norgerto A. (Brigitte) Rivera of Wailua Homesteads; grandchildren Allyne (Lyle) Pagatpatan of Honolulu, Lorna (Benjamin) Probasco, Artemio (Maricel) Rivera, and Duane Rivera of Lihu‘e; great-grandchildren, Ashten and Landen Pagatpatan, Blake and Lorin Probasco, Mason and Matthew Rivera and Shawn Rivera; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 19, at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Roman Hubbell
Roman Dana Hubbell of Kapa‘a died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 15, 2012, at the age of 59. He was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on Nov. 29, 1952, and was self-employed as a master potter.
He is survived by two sons, Jonathon Hubbell and Jeremy Hubbell.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 15, at Kealia Beach (pavilion close to river) from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
