Lorencia Corpuz
Lorencia “Loren” Paler Corpuz Of Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i passed away on March 25, 2012, at the age of 87 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1925, in Niumalu, Kaua‘i. She was a worker at Hawaiian Pineapple Cannery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dionicio Corpuz; sons, Melvin Corpuz and Ronald Corpuz
She is survived by sons, Clarence (Sharon) Corpuz, Milton (Venus) Corpuz; daughters, Christine (Honorato) Pardua, Patricia (Thomas) Rivera, Paula (Harold) Rosa; brother, Vernon Paler; sister, Alice Jacintho; and, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is Tuesday April 17, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation is at 9 a.m., with Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
Edwin Fu Sr.
Edwin Kwai Meng “Ah Meng” Kiilau Fu Sr. of Hanalei, Kaua‘i, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 8, 2012, at the age of 84. He was born in Hanalei on Dec. 10, 1927. He was a ranch foreman at Princeville Ranch (AMFAC).
He is preceded in death by parents, Lung Shak and Phoebe Fu; wife, Clara Fu; daughter, Charleen Kinney; sisters, Helen Hitchcock, Lillian Mundon, Emma Cummings; brothers, Harry and Lono Fu.
He is survived by sons, Wendall (Joanna) Fu, Kilauea and Edwin (Aleta) Fu Jr., Kapa‘a; daughters, Edleen Kaui, Kapa‘a, Claradeen Fu, Hanalei, Helena Giltner, Wailua, Marleen (Iiams) Fu, Hanalei; companion, Linda Yadao, Kilauea; brother, Charlie Fu Sr., Hanapepe; sisters, Hattie Baptiste, Florida, Ah Oui Pacheco, O‘ahu, Ah Lan (Naha), Kaneakua, O‘ahu; 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Malcom Miner
Malcolm H. Miner of Koloa, Kaua‘i, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 9, 2012, at the age of 91. He was born on Nov. 15, 1920, in Holyoke, Mass. He was an Episcopal priest and veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Miner, Koloa; daughters, Linda and La Dona; son, Philip Miner; and, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date at Saint Michaels And All Angels, Lihu‘e.

Judith King
Judith “Hoodie” Wilcox King passed away on March 11, 2012, in Aiken, South Carolina, at the age of 67. She was born on March 27, 1944, in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i.
She is survived by her sons, Mark I. Bryan and Michael C. Bryan Jr.; daughters, Deborah B. Chow and Sherry K. Niethammer; 11 grandchildren and her sister Pamela W. Dohrman.

Platon Fermin
Platon Medina Fermin of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, died on April 3, 2012, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 100. Born on March 8, 1912, in Ilocos Norte Philippines, he was a retired seed cutter with McBryde Sugar Co.
He is preceded in death by wife Lourdes M. Fermin, daughter Elisa Fermin, and grandson Wil Platon Fermin of Waianae.
He is survived by two sons, Vicente (Corine) Fermin of Kalaheo and Wilbert (Fe) Fermin of Waianae; and a grandson, Will Fermin of Waianae.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m.
Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. The family suggests casual attire.

Stephanie Lewis
Stephanie Nani Lewis of Hanapepe, Kaua‘i, died on March 12, 2012, at home at the age of 51. She was born on April 26, 1960, in Honolulu. She was a sushi chef at Stevensons Library with Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i.
She is survived by her parents, Gilbert Lewis and Barbara Lewis; three brothers, Gary (Jayme) Lewis of Kaneohe, Chauncey (Donna) Pang of Honolulu, and John (Julia) Pang of Honolulu; and four sisters, Bernadette (Chris) Alvarado of Hanapepe, Charmaine (Bill) Borders of Kaneohe, Suzie (Robert) Howell of North Carolina, and Melody (Will) Danielson of Ewa Beach.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, at the Kaneohe Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Service to begin at 11 a.m. Interment private.
The family suggests casual attire.

Robin Simpson
Robin Evelynne Simpson of Wainiha died on Feb. 20, 2012, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 57. She was born in Bismarck, N.D., and was a PBX operator for the St. Regis Hotel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and America Simpson; and sister, Audrey Simpson Martin.
She is survived by her daughter, Catlin Simpson; one granddaughter; sisters, Deannna McNeal, Dorrenee (James) Kingham; brothers, George (Mary) Simpson, Larry (Rosemary) Simpson, Richard (Sharon) Simpson, Dennis (Kathy) Simpson, John (Arvella) Simpson, James (Michele) Simpson, Jody (Lisa) Simpson; friends, Karen Zimmer, Dennis Hamyoung, Arlene Nelson, Kay Dora.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 14, at Anini Beach Park beginning at noon.

Mitsuko Kireto of Waimea, Kaua‘i died on April 5, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 94. Born on Sept. 20, 1917, in Makaweli, Kaua‘i, she was a nurse with Waimea Dispensary.
She is survived by a son, Gordon (Lucille) Kireto of Lihu‘e; a daughter, Lois Kireto of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Matsuko Kobayashi of Honolulu; two grandchildren, Cathy (Ross) Kagawa of Lihu‘e and Lani (Cory) Gokan of Lihu‘e; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, April 13, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Service will begin at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.
