Wayne Miyata said he wasn’t sure if she was born on the same day as Prince Kuhio, but it was a nice way to celebrate her birthday with all her golf brothers and sisters.
Kudos to Tamarine Mapuhi on another great Special Olympics Swim-a-Thon fundraiser. Tommy and Tina Cox were on hand to support Makani Kapua (Tommy said he got to know Makani when he was vice principal at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School). Ana Munoz was busy helping at the Young Life Capernaum fundraising car wash Sunday and at the Special Olympics Swim-a-Thon, Monday.
Mahalo to Mama Scovel for the heads-up on the car wash. Unfortunately, Red Scovel (No. 1) had to rush off to do a KSA make-up soccer game and left her Kaua‘i High School softball sisters to wash cars while she played soccer.
OK, time to head to the Ron Martin for baseball.
