Dickie Chang didn’t know what he was getting into Saturday. He said they just told him to show up at 3:30 p.m.
He and Ron Wiley were among the celebrities getting dunked for the Kaua‘i United Way during the St. Patrick’s Day festivities at Rob’s Good Times Grill.
Lori Almarza was busy getting names so they could get pool passes. Ron Wiley said Stephanie Fernandez got one for throwing so many balls, and Ron Victorino had one of The Garden Island Motorsports guys win one for dunking Ron seven times on nine balls.
What a great place for Andrea Frainier (she even got shave ice and green cotton candy) to “Check da Scene” since the place was popping with people in green.
Chef Nathan Cantor (he even had a green St. Patrick’s hat) was busy prepping corned beef and cabbage (with carrots) meals.
Sam Henriques said she and Jenn Bloom were volunteering for the TriFest event because she had to play the bagpipes along with someone whom she taught the fingering for at least two songs.
