LIHU‘E — Registration for the Mokihana Aquatics Learn to Swim classes are currently being accepted by calling Mokihana Aquatics Coach Orlando “O” Anaya at 821-0587.
The first session is scheduled to start Monday and run through April 5, meeting Mondays through Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Kaua‘i High School pool. On Saturdays, the hours are from 10 to 11 a.m., and on Wednesdays the class meets at Kalapaki Beach for its Ocean Safety part of the class.
Classes are open to non-swimmers and beginners 5 years old and older.
Swimming caps are a must for boys and girls participating in the class. Girls are required to wear one-piece swimsuits. No rash guard shirts are allowed, and no jewelry is allowed during classes.
Pre-registration is required for all classes.
Following the first session, Mokihana Aquatics will host a second session from April 15 through April 27. A third session will start April 30.
