For a drink with a view, try a pretty-in-pink Kalapaki Breeze at JJ’s Broiler.
Gracious staff member Tammy Lanning confides it’s a favorite, made with coconut rum, pineapple juice and a splash of cranberry. If one were allowed to call a drink breezy, this light-on-the-tongue drink would be a candidate. And yes, it comes with a pretty paper umbrella and generous wedge of pineapple from the restaurant’s friendly bartenders and generous-sized bar.
Other Kaua‘i-inspired drinks include the Kaua‘i Sunset (with rum, mango and strawberry puree) and Na Pali (with melon liqueur, coconut rum, pineapple juice and guava juice).
For the view, JJ’s Broiler overlooks Kalapaki Bay with inside and open-air dining that provides a marvelous way to while away an afternoon watching expert and beginner stand-up paddle boarders.
