WAIPOULI — No matter what the occasion, there is a featured drink which can make the event a little more festive at the Courtyard by Marriott at Coconut Beach.
Nadia Troche, coming off a busy Super Bowl Sunday event, whipped up a cool Peach Berry Daiquiri to take up the time while waiting on the start of the Eat Dessert First event hosted by the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i.
Recently showing off its extensive renovations, Troche, Julie LaPlante and Kimberly Evans were temporarily displaced while the floor of Cook’s Landing was being worked on for the Waipouli resort’s official dedication next week.
But that did not stop the flow of orders from guests who were wrapping up a day in the sun.
“This is fairly easy to do,” Troche said, deftly working the ingredients into a waiting blender. “You add some rum after starting with peach puree and top everything off with raspberry puree.”
The Peach Berry Daiquiri is available with or without rum.
Following the completion of its $13 million renovation, the Courtyard by Marriott unveiled some of the work done recently during the Business After Hours event with the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce.
