Jeremiah Bernaldes
Jeremiah Thomas Kalaionamanu Bernaldes of Hanapepe died Jan. 30, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 13. He was born on April 4, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a student at Waimea Canyon Middle School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eldefonso Abalos.
He is survived by parents, Michael (Devita Abalos) Bernaldes; brother, Josiah Elias; sister, Anuhea Chock; hanai sister, Kiara Kaiwi-Bernaldes; grandparents, Rebecca Siquian John and Lani Bernaldes; and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Service at 11 a.m.

Mariano Langaman
Mariano Langaman of Kaumakani died on Jan. 26, 2012 at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. Born on Dec. 16, 1934, in the Philippines, he was a landscaper with Roly Janitorial.
He is survived by his wife Liberty Langaman; daughter Ashley Langaman of Maui; sister Florafina (Delfin) Castillo of Kaumakani; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Theresa Catholic church in Kekaha; mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Kekaha public cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Gary Ohlrich
Gary “Buzz” Roland Ohlrich of Koloa died at home on Feb. 6, 2012, at the age of 61. He was born in Michigan on Oct. 18, 1950, a Vietnam veteran serving his country from 1968 until1971. He was also known for his beautiful custom woodwork.
He is survived by his two sons, Gary (Angie) Ohlrich and Mike Ohlrich; brother, Doug Ohlrich; sister, Paula; six grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Jenna, Brett, Kelsey and Kyle; nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe with services beginning at 10 a.m.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Ohlrich family with arrangements.
Liza Raposas
Liza Noelani Raposas of ‘Ele‘ele passed away on Jan. 12, 2012, at Carmel Mountain at the age of 33. She was born on Feb. 25, 1978, in Lihu‘e. She was a baker at the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Alfred Peralta and Cirilo Raposas.

Hayven Chaos Young passed away on Jan. 7, 2012, at Kapiolani Hospital at the age of 2.
He is survived by his parents: father, Colin Young Sr. of Kekaha and mother, Tiannah Iida of Kona; three sisters, Sazjah Panoncillo-Iida of ‘Ele‘ele; Star Young of ‘Ele‘ele and Haeden Young of Kalaheo; one brother, Colin Young Jr. of Hanapepe; grandparents, JoAnn Yadao; Rodney Young; Doreen Fernandez; Jeanette Poe; Mary Ann Frias; John Frias and Bernice Wade; and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
Private services will be held on a later date.

Arlett M. Hara of Kapa‘a died at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 57. Born on Sept. 4, 1954, in Hilo, she was a cashier with Pono Market and Cost-U-Less.
She is preceded by her father, Yoshio Ogomori.
She is survived by husband, Darrel S. Hara of Kapa‘a; four sons, Denny Hara, Nathan Hara, Kevin Hara and Raylan Hara all of Kapa‘a; mother, Toyono D. Ogomori of Hilo; two brothers, Calvin (Kimi) Ogomori of Japan and Harvey (Janice) Ogomori of O‘ahu; sister, Beryl (Roy) Hokama of Hilo; two grandchildren, Lalea and Tristen and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Service to begin at 4 p.m. Family suggests casual attire and that flowers be omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary Ltd.
