Applications are now being accepted for Monsanto Hawai‘i’s two scholarship programs — the Monsanto Hawai‘i Life Sciences Scholarship and the Monsanto Hawai‘i Agricultural Scholarship, according to a news release.
High school seniors interested in pursuing a science degree are invited to apply for the Monsanto Hawai‘i Life Sciences Scholarship. A total of ten scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded in 2012. This scholarship program is open to students of all public and private high schools in Hawai‘i who will be graduating in good standing this year and will be attending an accredited college or university to pursue a post-secondary education in a discipline related to the life sciences. Application deadline is April 1, 2012.
Eligible students must be enrolled as a full-time student or have been accepted to an accredited college or university other than the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa; and are pursuing a degree (Associate, Bachelor, Master or PHD) in an agricultural science program or a related discipline with an intent to pursue a career in agriculture. The next deadline for applications is May 1, 2012.
University of Hawai‘i at Manoa students pursuing a degree in Agricultural Sciences at the College of Tropical Agriculture & Human Resources may apply for a separate Manoa Monsanto Scholarship. Email Dr. Charles Kinoshita at KinoshitaC@CTAHR.hawaii.edu for an application.
