The Department of Water blessed the tank Monday with Lady Ipo Kahaunaele. Faith Shiramizu and Joy Buccat (Dickie Chang said Joy Ligaya-Buccat?) were there in non-pants and Daryl Kaneshiro said Tom Shigemoto’s shirt was the color of the neighboring albesia trees.
Daryl was at the blessing and Michelle Emura made a stop at the Kaua‘i High School gym where Ski Austin of the NBA had shipped her a bunch of bling for the Red Raider girls — just in time for states, too!
Speaking of states, mahalo to Casey Riemer for that nice pix of the Kapa‘a girls soccer team who made it to fourth place…not bad for a team which had to battle for a play-in spot and advance through the semifinals.
