Alfredo Agbisit
Alfredo Olivas Agbisit of Kaumakani died Jan. 27, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. Born on March 4, 1924, in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a retired field irrigator for Olokele Sugar Co.
He was preceded in death by Caroline Labuguen Agbisit and Leoning Agbisit.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Udarbe Agbisit; children, Jonarene Agbisit (Kyle Pacheco), Shaevona Valle (Jose) and Mervin Karl Agbisit; two grandchildren, Caroline Noble (Justin Sr.) and Jordan Valle; one great-grandson, Justin Noble Jr.; siblings, Dominga Utrera and Natividad Costales (Mariano); in-laws, Orencia Ancheta, Cerefina Costales (Pedro), Antonio Udarbe (Vanessa), Inocencia Udarbe, Dolores Navalta and Lorna Groth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha. Mass is at 10 a.m., followed by burial at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Ward Hayward
Ward Arnold Hayward of Princeville died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 30, 2012, at the age of 73. He was born in Massachusetts on July 4, 1938. He retired as a college professor with the University of Hawai‘i teaching electrical engineering, Chaminade University of Honolulu Department of Computer Science, a pilot in the United States Air Force, a movie critic, sailor and member of the Hawai‘i Yacht Club and the Nawiliwili Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife, Masumi Hayward, and numerous friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, at Hanalei Beach Pavilion beginning at 11 a.m.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Hayward family with arrangements.
Joseph Mahinai Jr.
Joseph Kaheleiki Mahinai Jr. of Kapa‘a died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 30, 2012, at the age of 55. He was born in Lihu‘e on April 20, 1956, and was employed by Paradise Pacifica as a tour guide.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Kaheleiki Mahinai Sr. and Agnes Kualu Mahinai, and his sister, Darleen “PeeWee” Clark.
He is survived by his brother, Wesley (Karen) Yadao; sisters, Sandra (Patrick) Mahinai, B. Kuulei (Rick) Mahinai-Ornellas, Laverne (Rudolph) Gomes, JoAnn Moani Mahinai; numerous uncles, aunties, nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 10, starting at 9 a.m. at Anahola “John’s Garden” (across Anahola Beach Park).

Jeremiah Thomas Kalaionamanu Bernaldes of Hanapepe died Jan. 30, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 13. He was born on April 4, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a student at Waimea Canyon Middle School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eldefonso Abalos.
He is survived by parents, Michael (Devita Abalos) Bernaldes; brother, Josiah Elias; sister, Anuhea Chock; hanai sister, Kiara Kaiwi-Bernaldes; grandparents, Rebecca Siquian John and Lani Bernaldes; and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Service at 11 a.m.

Elizabeth Kipola Cesar Keohohou died Jan. 25, 2012, at the age of 90. She was born on July 29, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Keohohou Jr.; son, David Keohohou III; daughters, Beverly Jean and Wendamae Keohohou.
She is survived by Mary (Alex) Miller; Elizabeth (David) Counts of Vista, Calif.; Pamela Keohohou of Santa Rosa, Calif.; Saffry (Nikki) Keohohou; Wenamae Keohohou; Davelyn (R Wayne) Fukino; Roxanne (John) Denava of Reno, Nev.;17 grandchildren, 29 great grand children, two great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 10. Family viewing is at 9 a.m. Graveside service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Jose Marino Tejada Molina of ‘Ele‘ele Nani died at his home on Jan. 29, 2012, at the age of 73. He was born in Rizal, Santa Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on Oct. 7, 1938. He was a retired landscaper at the Grand Hyatt Regency Hotel.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lucas Molina; sisters, Mercedes Cardenas and Ma Caridad Ballesteros; brother, Arnulfo Molina; and brother-in-law, Angelo Batin Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rosita Borje Molina; his mother, Ana T. Molina; three daughters, Ma Adelina (Ronald) Britanico of the Philippines, Mary Rose Asunio of ‘Ele‘ele Nani and Marissa (John) Molina of Koloa; two sons, Jose Emanuel (Remelyn) Molina of Las Vegas, Nev., and Michael Molina of Honolulu; two sisters, Cresencia Batin of Koloa and Esther (Romeo) Juan of ‘Ele‘ele; grandchildren, Rona Leine Britanico, Jon Mar Britanico both of the Philippines, Kirby Britanico of Lihu‘e, Justin Ryan Molina of ‘Ele‘ele Nani, Kiana Soliven of Koloa, Reina Abigail Molina of ‘Ele‘ele Nani, Tiara Soliven of Koloa, Joselyn Molina and Joshua Molina, both of Las Vegas, Nev., and Nathaniel Kyle Asunio and Kyla Chanel Asunio, both of ‘Ele‘ele Nani; and numerous nieces and nephews.
