Akiko K. Coleman of Lawa‘i died on Dec.1, 2011, at her home at age 80. Born on April 17, 1931, in Nagoya, Japan, she was the owner of Hawaiian Trading Post.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Ann Coleman.
She is survived by daughter, Mary “Lizzie” Coleman Cope (Don) of Po‘ipu; granddaughters, Gabriella and Brianna Cope and caregiver Launi Alo.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel. Service will be held at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Seichi Akagi
Seichi Akagi of Kilauea (formerly of Kaumakani) died peacefully at Garden Isle Healthcare on Nov. 17, 2011 at age 102. He was a retired supervisor of Olokele Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rikita and Naka Akagi; brother, Takeru (Toshiko) Akagi of Kaumakani; sisters, Yoshie Hirai of Japan, Ayano (Kanichi) Kodama of Hanalei and his son, Ted Akagi.
He is survived by his wife, Hisae; son, Alvin (Mary) Akagi of Plymouth Michigan; daughters, Joyce Nagata of Kilauea; Pamela Watanabe of Wailua; sister, Chieko Namehara of Japan; numerous nephews, niece, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A private service officiated by Reverend Leonard Abeshima was held Dec. 3 at Waimea Shingon Mission. The family appreciates the many expressions of sympathy and condolences and gratefully requests no koden be given.
The family extends a sincere thank you to Dr. Eric Yee and the entire staff at Garden Isle Healthcare who for many years so ably and lovingly served as his caregivers.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Mabel Murakoshi
Mabel Shigeyo Murakoshi of Lihu‘e, formerly of Kailua, O‘ahu, died at Garden Isle Health Care on Nov. 27, 2011, at age 95. She was born in Aiea, O‘ahu on Oct. 29, 1916, and retired as an assistant administrator at Leeward Hospital Aiea.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Murakoshi.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Billie Rae) Murakoshi; daughter, Kathy (Michael) Okada of Kailua, O‘ahu; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Dec. 12, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary with visitation from 5 p.m. and services celebrated at 6 p.m. Family graciously requests no Koden.

Evaron Haumea Sr.
Evaron Ipolani Haumea, Sr. of Kapa‘a died Nov. 28, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 64. Born on Sept. 30, 1947, in Waimea, he retired as a truck driver.
He is survived by his daughters, Cristie (Lonnie) James Sr. of Washington, Rachelle Noe (Earl Thronas Sr.) Haumea of Wailua, Desiree Haumea of Wailua; son, Ipo (Stacy Waikoloa) Haumea of Wailua; brothers, Terrance (Girlie) Castillo and Shane (Linga) Castillo; sisters, Keikilani (Wayne) Harada Sr., Wendy (Glen) Tano and Jonelle Word; step-brother, Joseph (Lusalle) Andrade; step-sisters, Agnes (Joseph) Perreira, Cecilia (Bernard) Perreira and Rosamary (Americo) Morris; sister-in-law, Lita Haumea; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Dec. 10, at Salt Pond Beach Park at 10 a.m.

Ernesto Jadulang
Ernesto Jadulang of Halaula died on Nov. 23, 2011, at Kohala Hospital at age 59. Born on Nov. 13, 1952, in North Kohala, he was a kitchen utility worker and a member of Sacred Hearts Church.
He is survived by his brother, Manuel (Norma) Jadulang of North Kohala; sisters, Josephine (Pat) Agustin of Lihu‘e; Sally Castillo of North Kohala and Loretta Yamashita of Waimea, Hawai‘i; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Hawi. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with Mass service to follow at 10 a.m.
