Thanksgiving Day revelers can get an “early bird burn,” Thursday with the Kapa‘a Turkey Trot 2011 starting at the Kapa‘a Beach Park.
Registration for this event is free with registration starting at 6:45 a.m. and the Trot beginning at 7:30 a.m. There will also be prizes awarded starting at 7:15 a.m.
Although registration is free, a contribution of non-perishable food for Hale Ho‘omalu, or a monetary contribution to the Kaua‘i Path will be gratefully accepted, the monetary proceeds going toward funding the Kaua‘i Path’s commitment to keeping Ke Ala Hele Makalae beautiful for users.
The Kapa‘a Turkey Trot 2011 is an informal 5K, 10K Fun walk, run, or bicycle ride being sponsored by the Kaua‘i Path, Communities Putting Prevention to Work, Get Fit Kaua‘i, Iron Lotus Core Fitness, Kaua‘i Amateur Radio Club, Menehune Water and Work It Out.
