Suemi Okubo
Suemi Okubo of Puhi died on Oct. 21, 2011, at Castle Medical Center on O‘ahu at age 81. He was a retired supervisor for Grove Farm and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Okubo; son, Eric Okubo; daughters, Darrelyn (Stanley) Tanji and Joyce (Dale) Johns; sisters, Akiko Masumura, Yaeko Muramoto and Yasuko (Jackie) Urata; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Service will be held at Lihu‘e Christian Church on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. Visitation at 9 a.m. Casual attire, no flowers. In lieu of monetary offerings, donations suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

Virginia Fairfield Clark died peacefully in her home on Nov. 6, 2011, at age 91. She was born Feb. 8, 1920.
She was preceded in death by her son, Cary Wilson Clark; her dogs, Misty, Shorty, Misha, Trixie, Honey, and herd of miniature dachshunds are waiting at the pearly gates.
She is survived by her daughter, Mona Watson Clark; her son-in- law, Ron Horoshko; her three grandsons, John Henry Clark, Peter Clark, Nicholas Clark, and granddaughter, Hilary Clark; nephew, David Pollock and niece, Pamella Moore; great-nieces, Debbi Paquette and Wendy Argo; two great granddaughters, Abigail Rose Clark and Jayna Marie Clark; hanai daughters, Martha Sullivan and Annie Meyers; hanai son, Scott Wynn; and her hanai granddaughters, Brenda Steele, Laura Stewart, Olivia Doyne and Rebecca Schneider. The wolves in Wyoming are singing in the wild and to her.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m., Nov. 12, at Kaua‘i Bible Church, 2-4131 Kaumuali‘i Highway, Koloa.
