Georgeatte Galicinao-Cayaban of the Kaumakani Federal Credit Union shows off a rice scooper which donors of bags of rice receive during the International Credit Union Week festivities Monday through Saturday. The rice is being collected for the Hawai‘i Food Bank through the ‘Have a Rice Day’ campaign which runs through Nov. 10. Participating Kaua‘i credit unions include the Kaumakani, Kekaha, McBryde, Garden Island and Kaua‘i federal credit unions. Galicinao-Cayaban said in addition to the rice collection to help feel the hungry, the public is invited to free coffee and doughnuts on Friday to cap the week-long celebration.
