Forms for the Kaua‘i United Way 42nd annual Walk-A-Thon are now available at the KUW office in Lihu‘e.
The Kaua‘i United Way Walk-A-Thon is an opportunity for any Kaua‘i non-profit group to earn money for its own cause, said Scott Giarman, executive director for the KUW.
All of the funds raised are turned in before or on the day of the walk and the participating nonprofit will receive a check for one half of the total funds raised in a few weeks.
The remaining half goes to the social service work of KUW’s 28 participating agencies.
“Of course, the non-profit organization is invited to join the Walk-A-Thon on the morning of Oct. 29,” Giarman said. “The important part is raising money to help our community.”
