Philip Baclayon, head coach for the Kapa‘a High School boys basketball program, will lead the free Friday Night Sports Night at the All Saints’ Gym in Kapa‘a.
“Every so often, we open up the gym to the community on a Friday night and feature a sport,” said Sybil Nishioka of the All Saints’ Church. “A few weeks ago, we featured dodgeball and this Friday, we will have basketball with Coach Phil.”
Nishioka said all youth in middle school and high school are invited to come and enjoy healthy fun activity.
“You don’t even need to know how to play, we’ll teach you,” Nishioka said. “It’s all for fun, and we have lots of free refreshments.”
Middle school and younger students will start play at 7 p.m. followed by the high school students at 8 p.m.
Nishioka said everyone can come in at 7 p.m. and socialize in a safe environment.
This is a community outreach program of the All Saints’ Church.
