Kahu Jim Fung of the Lihu‘e Christian Church said he got a head start on some of the buying and even made the coffee mug “his” by putting coffee in it, Saturday.
He was one of the lucky owners of Pam White ceramics during the LCC 2011 bazaar which had a lot of shoppers getting a jump on the nishime, sushi and other baked goods. Pam even had special dishes for eating tofu which can drain, something she learned from Wayne Miyata.
Theresa Morita said she arrived at 7 a.m. to be first in line at the bazaar despite a long night at KIF volleyball. She was even able to make the football game at Hanapepe Stadium after all that shopping.
And while Theresa was shopping, her daughter Westy Kessler was doing the cupcake thing at the Kaua‘i Community College market. This is going to get connected with the Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association (today is the first day we can use that term) since Sandi Kato-Klutke and Jolene Ogle were both at the market.
OK, time to go check out Penny Young at the Westside path planning meeting in Waimea.
