KPD nabs 1 of Kaua‘i’s most wanted

KOLOA — Police on Wednesday night arrested a Kekaha man who was wanted for second-degree assault and criminal contempt of court.

Anthony Keohu Harris, 38, appeared on this month’s Kaua‘i’s Most Wanted list. Police located Harris in Koloa after receiving information from the public concerning his whereabouts.

Police are currently holding Harris in lieu of $55,000 bail.

“Kaua‘i’ police would like to thank the public for their continued assistance in locating wanted individuals,” a department news release stated.

In December 2006, Harris was arrested for second-degree criminal trespassing and two counts of criminal contempt of court in October 2008 and for driving under the influence of an intoxicant, according to The Garden Island’s archives. In 2003, he faced charges of family abuse, harassment and multiple counts of third-degree assault, according to state records.
