Mitsuko Tengan of Kahului, Maui died on Aug. 19, 2011 at the age of 86. She was born in Anahola, and retired as a State of Hawai‘i Department of Education teacher for Kapunahala Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Tamotsu Tengan of Kahului, Maui; son, Robin M. (Lynn C.) Tengan of Kula, Maui; daughter, Karen A. Goo of Honolulu, HI; three sisters, Josephine S. Wong of Honolulu; Sharon Midori (Leslie) Higa of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Lillian Y. Tengan of San Francisco, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. with committal service and inurnment to follow.
Casual attire is suggested.
