Laura Hisano Tamashiro Gerum of Kaneohe passed away on July 25, 2011 at the age of 31. Born on Sep. 28, 1979, in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, she was a P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc. program director.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Tamashiro.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Gerum; grandparents, Chokichi and Sueko Tamashiro of Kaua‘i; mother, Patricia (Hirata) Tamashiro; two brothers, Terry Y. (Hanako) Tamashiro of California and Philip “Trey” Bachman III of Kaneohe; a sister, Suzanne (Domingo) Manzano Jr. of Lahaina; a step-father, Philip Bachman of Lahaina; two step brothers, Dion Bachman of Kaneohe and Kristopher Bachman of Lahaina; two nephews and three nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 27, between 3 and 6 p.m. at Kokokahi YWCA (Atherton Hall) in Kaneohe.
