National Lemon Meringue Pie Day was a hit at the Regency at Puakea. Marty Amaro of Kaua‘i Coffee was on hand with complimentary cups of Kaua‘i Coffee to go along with the lemon meringue pie created by Regency Executive Chef Ryan Theis and baker Sarah Kendall.

Janice Bond brought Memory Robinson over for birthday pie (Aram Keulian said the Regency food committee already said “Pie instead of cake”) since Memory was celebrating her “25th birthday,” Monday.

Jason Fujinaka and Val Rynda were able to talk John Wada into getting a mid-morning break to take in the pie and Aram Keulian said even Ron Wiley was able to get a plug in for the event.

And yes, Mary Thronas did get in her licks for the pie…hmmm, did the Zonta call a special meeting?

Over at the Monday Market, Sarah Poehnelt and Brandy Labanon had Lemon Meringue Lotus Blossom pies (fancy name for single serving pies) which Greg Naganuma got to enjoy for dessert, and one young girl was eyeing her allowance while checking out the pie.
