Sushi Bushido’s creative rolls are arguably some of the most creative on Kaua‘i.
But have you tried their drinks?
The restaurant’s drink menu rivals its food menu when it comes down to creativity. Next time you go to Victor Heresa’s restaurant, ask for “The Ninja,” a sweet mix of vodka and raspberry liqueur with a hint of lemon.
Kika has known Victor for over a decade, when he worked at the legendary Wasabi’s in Kapa’a.
The funky and tiny Wasabi’s was Victor’s first venture as a restaurant owner. While we all miss it, Bushido was the natural evolution into something a lot better. But we can still miss Wasabi’s.
Kika was born and raised on Kaua‘i, but somehow spent a big chunk of his life on Big Island. He graduated from Hilo High School and earned a culinary degree at Hilo Community College.
Whenever he’s not sweating (or having a good time) to earn his money at Bushido, Kika spends time with his beautiful 8-month-old baby girl, Keilaniolu and his girlfriend Leann.
One of Kika’s favorite things to do with his family spend a whole day at Kaua‘i’s North Shore beaches. Kika always brings his bodyboard and jumps in the water whenever the waves are good.
Sushi Bushido is open from Saturday to Monday at 5 p.m. From Tuesday to Friday it opens at noon. The restaurant closes at 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, when there’s usually live music. On other days it closes at 9 p.m.
