KPD seeks fugitive

LIHU‘E  – The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Andres “Bong” Cadiente Jr., age 22, of Hanama’ulu.

Cadiente is wanted on two counts of contempt of court, failure to appear and bail violation. His total bail is set at $4,750.

Police had information that Cadiente was staying at his parents’ home in Hanama‘ulu and officers paid a visit to the home on July 23.

Cadiente initially opened the front door but immediately fled upon seeing the police. The officer gave chase, following Cadiente through the home, but Cadiente dove through a second story window and slid down a section of iron roofing before landing on the hood of an officer’s patrol vehicle.

The officer then lost sight of Cadiente and was unable to relocate him.

Cadiente is five-feet, four-inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair with a tan complexion. Cadiente is of Filipino descent.

Anyone with information on the location of Cadiente is asked to call Captain Michael Contrades at 241-1635 or KPD Dispatch, 241-1711.
