Hats off to Scott Ashworth and all his ‘ohana at the Kaua‘i Lagoons on a great golf festival.
Even with the intermittent showers, people had a blast. Chuck Brady had his crew in tow and said they didn’t make it past the first hole in the putting contest before the rains came.
But that didn’t deter him from helping at the Lihu‘e Hongwanji bon dance where he was doing the washable tattoos.
Marvin Terada was busy shuttling people at the golf event and also showed up to help at bon dance.
Kenji Miyata was taking advantage of the Demo Day to check out new clubs before heading to the Mitchell Ota Match Play competition.
Na‘ea Oda and Kai Adachi also had the same idea, working through some of the new equipment before taking in the Saturday round at the Wailua Golf Course.
Hats off to Ron Peeren on a great tournament and mahalo to Wayne Miyata (he was at bon dance, too) for the heads-up.
Ron said the Kaua‘i Junior Golf Association gets to do a tournament at Kilauea Mini Golf this weekend.
