A free movie, “Memories of Tomorrow,” will be shown Thursday starting at 1:15 p.m. at The Agency on Elderly Affairs Pi‘ikoi Room A.
Ken Watanabe stars in this film which was obtained in Asia and is not available in local movie outlets, states a release from Humberto Blanco of the Alzheimer’s association.
Pi‘ikoi Room A is located on the ground floor of the Pi‘ikoi Building, the former location of the Gems store.
“Memories of Tomorrow” is an intense, at times humorous and heartwarming story of a Japanese couple dealing with Alzheimer’s.
Watanabe stars as the husband in the film, a dedicated business professional who is challenged by changes he does not understand.
Dubbed with subtitles, the film is set in Tokyo and the mountainous countryside of Japan, following Watanabe and his wife who find ways to adapt and to cope.
