The driver of the black Dodge had three adult passengers at the time of the collision. One passenger, a 58-year-old female of Folsom, Calif., was transported by medics to Wilcox Memorial Hospital for neck and shoulder pain. She was treated and later released.
No other injuries were reported.
Police closed the southbound lane of Kuhio Highway, near the Kapaia Road junction, at about 1:20 p.m. for roughly two hours.
Crews worked throughout the night to finish making repairs to the pole.
