WAILUA — The northbound lane of the Wailua River Bridge on Kuhio Highway will be closed on from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., today, and again from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sidewalk restoration. Contra flow will end at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a news release states.
Northbound traffic will be directed to the newly opened lane on the Wailua Cane Haul Bridge; southbound traffic will remain in one lane on Kuhio Highway.
Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time and to watch for updates on the electronic message boards on either side of the construction zone. The speed limit in this construction zone is 15 mph.
