LIHU‘E — The county Office of the Prosecuting Attorney announced the following indictments from its March 2011 grand jury sessions:
Sexual assault and escape
Hiram Yong
Alleged crimes: Third-degree sexual assault
Court dates: June 20 jury trial
The grand jury returned an indictment against Yong, alleging that on April 26, 2010, he committed the offense by subjecting a person less than 14 years old to sexual contact.
David Harville
Alleged crimes: Second-degree escape
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $5,000
The grand jury returned an indictment against Harville, alleging that on September 22, 2010, he committed the offense by intentionally escaping from custody.
Burglary, theft and associated crimes
Albert W. Stiglmeier
Alleged crimes: Second-degree theft, second-degree burglary and harassment
Court dates: June 27 jury trial
The grand jury returned an indictment against Stiglmeier, alleging that on Nov. 20, 2010, he committed the offenses by obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over a mechanic’s tools, by unlawfully entering or remaining in a mechanic’s garage, and by striking, shoving, kicking, or offensively touching another person with the intent to harass, annoy or alarm.
Lance-Clint Taniguchi-Fu
Alleged crimes: First-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree assault
Court dates: June 20 jury trial
The grand jury returned an indictment against Taniguchi-Fu, alleging that on Jan. 23, he committed the offenses by unlawfully entering or remaining in another’s home with the intent to commit a crime and by causing bodily injury to another.
Kealia Bell-Gasaway
Alleged crimes: Second-degree theft
Court dates: Counsel status April 12
The grand jury returned an indictment against Kealia Bell- Gasaway, alleging that on April 1, 2009, through and including Sept. 30, 2009, Bell-Gasaway committed the offense by obtaining or exerting control by deception over financial assistance, Food Stamp assistance, and medical assistance provided by the Department of Human Services.
Taylor A. Nichols
Alleged crimes: Two counts of third-degree assault, first-degree burglary
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $5,200 bail
The grand jury returned an indictment against Taylor A. Nichols, alleging that on Feb. 4, he committed the offenses, by causing bodily injury to two other people and by unlawfully entering the home of another to commit a crime.
Hilari K. Kalani
Alleged crimes: First-degree burglary and second-degree theft
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $5,100 bail
The grand jury returned an indictment against Hilari K. Kalani, alleging that on Nov. 17, 2010, Kalani committed the offenses by unlawfully entering the home of another to commit a crime and by obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over jewelry and clothing.
Drug offenses
Sean Scates, Zack Naea and David Harville
Alleged crimes: First-degree burglary, second-degree criminal property damage and two counts of first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug
Court dates: None. Arrest warrants were issued; $50,000 bail for Scates and Harville; $14,000 for Naea
The grand jury returned an indictment against Scates, Naea and Harville, alleging that on April 16, 2009, they committed the offenses by breaking into the North Shore Pharmacy in Kilauea and stealing large amounts of Oxycodone and Oxycontin pills and Oxycodone powder.
Scott G. Ruiz
Alleged crimes: Third-degree promotion a dangerous drug, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia
Court dates: Counsel status on April 5
The grand jury returned an indictment against Ruiz, alleging that on Nov. 4, 2010, he committed the offenses by possessing crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Luke Hacker and Glenn Takeuchi
Alleged crimes: Third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug
Court dates: None. Arrest warrants were issued for their arrest, $2,050 bail
The grand jury returned an indictment against Hacker and Takeuchi, alleging that on Feb. 21, they each committed the offenses by unlawfully possessing cocaine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Debra Numazawa
Alleged crimes: Third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $2050 bail
The grand jury returned an indictment against Numazawa alleging that on Feb. 20, she committed the offenses by unlawfully possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Brendan A. Duarte
Alleged crimes: Third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, three counts of unlawful possession of firearms, possessing a loaded firearm on a public highway and place to keep a pistol or revolver
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $10,000 bail
The grand jury returned an indictment against Duarte alleging that on Feb. 4, he committed the offenses by unlawfully possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia; and by unlawfully possessing a pistol and ammunition after having been convicted of a felony.
Samuel Amonette
Alleged crimes: Second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of detrimental drug and three counts of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $7,050
The grand jury returned an indictment against Amonette alleging that on Jan. 22, he committed the offenses by unlawfully possessing cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Kevin M. Louis
Alleged crimes: Third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, simple trespassing, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, no bail set
The grand jury returned an indictment against Louis, alleging that on Feb. 22, he committed the offenses by trespassing onto the property of Pacific Service and Development in Lihu‘e and unlawfully possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Veronica A. Medeiros
Alleged crimes: Two counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and two counts of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $4,000
The grand jury returned an indictment against Medeiros, alleging that on Feb. 2, she committed the offenses by unlawfully possessing methamphetamine, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Alleged crimes: First-degree terroristic threatening
Court dates: None. An arrest warrant was issued, $5,000
The grand jury returned an indictment against Nagao, alleging that on Sept. 21, 2010, he committed the offense by threatening to cause bodily injury to another with a knife.
