Multiple water features, large bounce house, a crafts tent, food booth, lucky numbers and a silent auction will be available when gates open to the Spring Soaker ‘Ohana Day, April 9, at Anne Knudsen Park in Koloa.
The Spring Soaker ‘Ohana Day is a fundraiser hosted by the parents of The Koloa Early School and proceeds go toward funding the school’s education programs, capital and operational expenses as well as its tuition assistance program.
Admission for children ages 3 to 18 is $15 and provides full use of the water slides and bounce houses from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children ages two and under are admitted free, and if adults want a ride down the water slide, there is a fee of $5.
Lucky number tickets are available at $5 each and are available now at the school, from any of the parents, or at the Apr. 9 event.
Some of the prizes include gift certificates, clothing, food and art and ticket holders need not be present to win. The drawing will be held at the event.
Accommodations certification from some of Kaua‘i’s world-class resorts, spa treatments, boat trips, complimentary registration for the 2011 Kaua‘i Marathon and more will line the tables at the silent auction, states a release from The Koloa Early Learning School.
“With the community’s support, we want to reach our goal of $15,000,” said Robin Jumper in the release. “Koloa Early School is located in the heart of Old Koloa Town adjacent to the Koloa Post Office and has been teaching Kaua‘i’s youngsters for more than 20 years.”
Koloa Early School is a non-profit organization which depends on grants and fundraising events to continue its work of inspiring and educating the youth of Kaua‘i.
