One of the benefits of a furlough day is to meet up with people who are normally busy working, but on Monday, Bev Pang, Barbara Bloemke (she does a fabulous job incorporating the basketball playoffs with fourth grade math, overlapping everything with college awareness and social studies), Roy Oyama, Sandy Sterker (she’s going to Hanalei, early for the Lions Pancakes and Hula, Apr. 10) and even Ron Harashko were able to enjoy lunch at the Puakea Golf Course Grille.
Ron said he’s got a meeting with the Koloa Senior Center for this year’s batch of Ukranian Easter eggs (he already did some over the weekend), but won’t know until later this week where he’ll do this year’s demonstration.
Ms. Sterker said she’s got a meeting so will have to visit her former Lions Club early and doesn’t know what kind of goodies they’ll have until she checks with Wayne Tanji, although Gary Pacheco was talking about some poi. If you need tickets, call any of the members of the North Shore Lions Club.
OK, time to roll out for the first round title KIF baseball playoffs at Vidinha
Stadium.
