PO‘IPU — Registration for the 9th annual Mokihana Club Golf Scramble scheduled for April 10 at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course are currently being accepted, said Kathy Sheffield, chairperson of the tournament.
“We are inviting men to participate in the tournament for the first time, ever,” Sheffield said in an email. “We need more players for our nursing scholarships tournament.”
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Mokihana Club’s Nursing Education Scholarship Fund for Kaua‘i Community College students.
People interested in attending the luncheon without playing the golf can purchase luncheon tickets for $15. This includes spouses or friends who do not golf.
Registration for the tournament is $95 per golfer, $28 being donated to the nurses scholarship fund, and includes greens fee, cart, practice range balls, registration gifts and a Hawaiian buffet lunch at Keoki’s Paradise in the Po‘ipu Shopping Village.
Registration on golf day starts at 6:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
Tournament play is a 3-person modified scramble with individual golfers being placed on a team.
Additionally, mulligans are available at $5 each to a maximum of four per team.
A Closest to the Pin contest at Holes No. 2, 7, 11 and 17 is also available at $5 each hole.
Registration forms and more information are available by calling Sheffield at 886-6175.
