Tree’s Lounge, in Waipouli, attracts a varied crowd of people, from locals to tourists, with all kinds of tribes in between. It could be the nightly music, the tasty pupus or the exotic drinks.
Whatever the reason is, Jaena Dennis said her signature drink, the “Key Lime Martini,” is a big seller among the ladies.
“All the ladies love it,” said the former figure skater, who each year spends six months on Kaua‘i and six months in Montana.
How does someone keep a steady relationship living in two places? Well, Jaena doesn’t, but it’s arguable that the 25-year-old hottie keeps a steady flow of broken hearts between Kaua‘i and Montana.
Here on the island Jaena becomes a bartender/waitress. The outdoor-oriented wahine is trying to do every hike listed in the Kaua‘i Guide Book. That would certainly be a good start to ask her on a date.
And then when she leaves to Montana in April, you might get a great deal in a piece of furniture she sells in her Annual Jaena’s Garage Sale.
Once in Montana, Jaena becomes a landscape designer, and when she’s not working in some big wig’s ranch, she’s carving powder on her snowboard.
Tree’s is open from 5 p.m. until close, and there’s live music every night.
2 ounce Stoli Vanilla
1/2 ounce Pineapple juice
Dash of Rose’s lime juice
Lime wedge
A heck of a free spirit
Throw it all, minus the lime wedge, in a hand shaker. Give it agood wiggle, pour it into a martini glass and garnish with the limewedge. Now, offer it to free-spirited Jaena, because after all,it’s her favorite drink.
