Veronica Lovesy was real excited about having Kukui‘ula Village in the Lights on Rice parade. They even had fancy glasses that made everything look like snowflakes when you looked through them.
Mahalo to the little guys who were thoughtful enough to drop some hard candy into the pocket of The Happy Camper (they came in real handy after the parade — Judi Murakami was still awake in Las Vegas!), and Joe Grace of KJ’s Lunchwagon said he went through about 400 pounds of roast pork, Friday.
More mahalo to all the volunteers who made the whole thing work — it’s amazing to see how the combined effort of everyone’s contribution adds up to a successful event! Now, if we can figure out a way for people to pick up the trash when they leave …
Brad Snyder was in the parade and was up early for the Scramble at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course, and one half of the Roger Kable ‘ohana was at golf and the other half was at the community market at KCC (Melissa McFerrin said don’t forget Dec. 18 when Kaua‘i Made combines with Kaua‘i Grown).
