Gates will open at 8 a.m. for racers as the Garden Island Racing Association hosts its final race for 2010, this Saturday and Sunday at the Kaua‘i Raceway Park in Mana.
The Nov. 6 race was canceled and moved to this weekend to accomodate the two-day race, according to officials from the GIRA.
Another previous race, Oct. 2, was also canceled due to a conflict in scheduling.
Both races will be accomodated at this weekend’s race which will feature timed trials starting at 10 a.m. and racing to get underway shortly after lunch to accomodate the daytime schedule.
The King of the Bikes Shootout originally penned in for Oct. 2 will be run on Saturday, and the Diesel Truck Shootout will unfold on Sunday.
The GIRA is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting safe motorsports on Kaua‘i and hosts the National Hot Rod Association drag races at the Kaua‘i Raceway Park in Mana.
