Sophie Fernandez died Sept. 24, 2010, in Honolulu at age 87. She was born June 12, 1923, and is originally from Koloa.
She is survived by daughter Nancy Hess, sister Katie Acoba, many nieces and nephews, three grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 16, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary on O‘ahu, with service at noon and burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.
Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
