Just a little over a year ago, Jason Panui opened his tiny Lei Petite coffee shop in Princeville Center. The place is open seven days a week, serving some of the most-delicious coffee and pastries found on the North Shore.

The yummy “Coco Latte” would probably be the highlight of Lei Petite, if it weren’t for the sweet smile of two sassy 20-year-old troublemakers working there, Amber Loughead and Ashleigh Rapozo.
Amber is also a natural-born horse whisperer, and she works as a tour guide and wrangler at a North Shore ranch. When not riding a horse, she’s riding waves or attending Kaua‘i Community College.
Ashleigh wants to be a personal trainer, but if that doesn’t work out, she definitely has a fun side that could land this aspiring actress in some big Hollywood comedy. And yes, she loves shopping.
Both heartbreakers hang out together almost everyday, to the point that the boyfriend of one of them gets a little jealous. I’m not telling who’s the single one, but you probably can figure out by looking at the plumerias in their ears.
2 shots of espresso
Coconut syrup
Steamed whole milk
Fun spirit
Pour two shots of espresso into a mug, add coconut syrup totaste, and finally add steamed milk. You might not know how to drawa plumeria like the barista artists at Lei Petite, but as long asyou have a fun spirit, anything is valid.
