LIHU‘E — Road maintenance and tree trimming along the Tree Tunnel on Maluhia Road will continue from Tuesday to Friday, closing one lane of traffic those days from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., states a county press release.
Flagmen will direct traffic.
On Saturday, July 10, from 8 a.m. to noon, a community cleanup organized by the Po‘ipu Beach Resort Association is scheduled for the Tree Tunnel, to complete necessary preparations for Koloa Plantation Days.
During the community cleanup, Maluhia Road will be completely closed.
Motorists heading to and from the South Shore during the temporary road closure are advised to use ‘Oma‘o and Koloa roads.
