LIHU‘E — During the month of July, county offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day and many will also be closed on two furlough Fridays, July 2 and 16.
Anyone with questions regarding the county’s furlough plans should call the respective office they wish to visit.
Independence Day will be observed by county offices and facilities on the following days:
— Sunday, Kekaha Landfill and all refuse transfer stations
— Monday, county offices, Puhi Metals Recycling Center, the Kaua‘i Resource Center, and all HI-5 bottle redemption centers
— Tuesday, Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools
Residential refuse pick-up will continue as scheduled.
The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on a modified schedule on Monday.
Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, except for the two county swimming pools.
