August Kawaikini Kane of Anahola died June 14, 2010 at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital at age 66. Born on June 6, 1944, in Lihu‘e, he was an electronic engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents August and Katherine Kane.
He is survived by his wife Mary Helen Kane; daughters Christine Kane and Malia Kane; son Sean Kane; sisters April Reis, Katherine Matsushima and Keala (Tony) Prem; brother Lowell (Jo Ann) Kane; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., service at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, June 22, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary chapel. Scattering of ashes will be private.
Casual attire is requested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Miguel Pascual
Miguel Pascual of Koloa died June 7, 2010, at his home at age 90. Born on Oct. 15, 1919, in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired seed-cutter operator with McBryde Sugar Company.
He is survived by his wife Perfecta Pascual of Koloa; sons Erwin (Gwen) Pascual and Fred (Candice) Pascual both of Koloa; grandchildren Caycie and Ally; nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 19, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Gordon Kenny
Gordon “Gordon Ching” D. Kenney of Hanalei died April 28, 2010, at age 54.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred.
He is survived by his daughter Natalie; mother Mary Kenney; brothers Tom of Hanalei and Charles of Hilo; sisters Ruth Conover of Hanalei and Mary Lou Drummy of San Clemente, Calif.; Sandra Termin of Anaheim, Calif.; Susan McConnell of Ventura, Calif.; niece Erin Fuller and nephew Danny Fuller; other nieces, nephews and extended family, Jennie, Steven and Michael Ching.
Memorial services at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 19, at Black Pot Beach Park in Hanalei.
