Applications for youth interested in learning to play the game of tennis are still being accepted by the Kaua‘i District Tennis Association.
Youth ages 8 to 14 are eligible for the lessons which will be offered at the Beginning and Intermediate levels at two sites on Kaua‘i starting today.
Beginning and Intermediate level sessions are held on Mondays and Fridays at the Hanapepe tennis courts and Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Kaua‘i Community College tennis courts.
The first round of classes will run June 7-21. A second round of classes is scheduled to run June 24 through July 8 at the KCC courts only. A third round of classes will run July 5-19 at the Hanapepe tennis courts and the final round of classes will run July 13-27 at the KCC courts.
Classes run from 3 to 4 p.m. at the KCC courts and from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Hanapepe tennis courts.
There is a limit of 10-12 students per session and classes are based on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration fee is $25 per child for five sessions. Checks should be made payable to KDTA, or Kaua‘i District Tennis Association.
